School is officially out for summer. We now have a rising 5th grader, 3rd grader, 1st grader, and kindergartener! That sort of amazes me. No more preschoolers... it's a good thing. A new phase of life with the Fab 4.
Life has been utterly crazy lately. Trip planning, swim team, wedding photography, new car shopping and buying, old car fixing (or attempting to anyway), taking Baby Boy to more appointments than I care to, trying to keep my house from being completely eaten by the kazillion ants that just won't die, fighting off a nasty cold, and keeping the kids fed and the house in a livable condition.
There are some fun events that I want to post... Isaac turned 10, Daniel turned 5, Kristin graduated Kindergarten, and we actually had a great camping trip with a 7 week old baby in tow! But these will need to wait as we are about to embark on a grand adventure... which will probably require a few posts to cover.
On and on we go.
Oh, sweet Baby Boy. His screams persist. He is complex. The appointments he must go to cram my schedule. The questions that surround him spin in my head... is he in pain? Will he develop correctly? Is he simply reacting to the abuse and neglect he endured? Will he stay, or will he go? How will God work through this messy start to life?
I am reminded of Joseph, and how God used the evil of man for His purpose. How being sold into slavery by his own brothers led to the eventual saving of a nation from famine.
Whether Baby Boy is with us temporarily, or permanently, I know God placed him in our arms with a purpose. And while we wait for that purpose to be fulfilled, I'll just rock and sing and kiss and sooth to the best of my ability.
